Semaine Klima : Lac de Borciriette : quand la nature reprend sa place

Lake Borciriette, a former industrial site that has since been restored to its natural state, is a place full of surprises. Over the past 40 years, nature has reclaimed the area, and it now boasts a rich biodiversity. The CPIE Pays Basque, in partnership with the Baigorri City Hall, is organizing a tour of Lake Borciriette and its surroundings. This will be an opportunity to explore the site’s various natural habitats, learn more about the local wildlife, get an update on the restoration project, and reflect together on the future of this area. The meeting point is at 10 a.m. at the parking lot located behind Jean Pujo Middle School in Baigorri. The hike is open to everyone and is relatively easy. However, be sure to wear sturdy walking shoes, bring water, and wear long-sleeved clothing. To participate, we strongly recommend registering with the CPIE Pays Basque.
