Following the Climate and Resilience Act of August 2021, a PADD— Project for Sustainable Planning and Development—was drafted in 2024 in accordance with this Act, defining the broad guidelines for urban planning and land use, as outlined in the Intermunicipal Local Urban Planning Plan (PLUI) for the Basque Coast-Adour region. More specifically, there will be a review of management decisions regarding coastal risks, as well as a presentation of projects and concepts that prioritize nature and relocation. Finally, a presentation of the methodology used to produce the coastline projections for the years 2050 and 2120.
