Kery James

A leading figure in the French hip-hop scene—as a writer, rapper, playwright, and actor— Kery James has been recognized for over thirty years for the quality of his finely crafted lyrics, his keen sensitivity, and his social activism against inequality and discrimination. On stage, true to his values and his commitment, Kery James revisits his classics with a sharp flow and performs tracks from his new album *R.A.P.* (Resistance, Love, and Poetry), accompanied by a DJ, a drummer, and a keyboardist. His lyrics, profound and radical, tackle burning current issues such as police violence, the Palestinian genocide, and the media; but he also speaks of his Haitian roots and pays tribute to his mother.
