Erwan Naour

For more than thirty years, Erwan Naour has charted a unique course within the French alternative music scene. As a co-founder of Les Hurlements d’Léo and Wallace, he has developed over the years a sensitive and deeply felt style of songwriting, carried by an instantly recognizable voice and an intense stage presence. Today, with this new solo project, he explores a more personal style, where his songs unfold between stripped-down acoustic sounds and contemporary textures. Guitars, machines, loops, and electronic elements come together to create an organic world that is both fragile and tense. On stage, guitar-and-voice tracks sit alongside fuller arrangements and electric atmospheres, in a constant search for movement, breath, and contrast. A free-spirited way of engaging with French chanson, without nostalgia or pretense.
