The Lyric Association Sasibill presents The Guest of the Sevillian by Jacinto Guerrero. In the imperial city of Toledo, Juan Luis, a court painter, is commissioned by the king to paint a Virgin. He meets Raquel, daughter of Maese Andrés Munestein, and is captivated by her beauty. Count Don Diego, taking advantage of the young Raquel's departure from his house, makes her his prisoner, taking her to the Mesón del Sevillano. The inn's "guest" is none other than Cervantes, a character included in the plot of the play. The musical numbers include The Song of the Sword, Castellana Toledana, Woman with black eyes as well as the popular chorus of Las Lagarteranas. Manuel de Diego, Nuria García Arrés, Koldo Torres, J on Imanol Etxabe, Estibaliz Arroyo and Haizea Muñoz will perform the zarzuela together with the Sasibill Orchestra and Choir and under the musical direction of Arkaitz Mendoza.
