Together, in duo format, they bring their vision of some jazz classics as well as some of their own compositions. Born in California but trained in the effervescent New York scene, Bruce Barth has been considered one of the leading pianists in contemporary jazz for decades. After a solid musical training, he began a professional career at a very young age that led him to share the stage with figures such as Stanley Turrentine, Terence Blanchard, Stan Getz, Freddie Hubbard, Phil Woods and Tony Bennet. Barth, who has also stood out as a composer, producer and pedagogue, has been acclaimed by international critics, The New York Times highlighted him as one of the most interesting pianists of his generation, and has an extensive discography, a regular presence at festivals all over the world and the unanimous respect of colleagues, the public and the specialised press. Vicente Archer stands out as a singular and enormously creative double bass player. He has collaborated with Donald Harrison, John Scofield, Norah Jones, Pat Metheny, Brad Mehldau, Wynton Marsalis, John Scofield, Kenny Garrett and countless other great names in jazz. He has led his own projects and currently contributes his double bass to projects by Peter Bernstein, Nicholas Payton and Robert Glasper, among others. His sound is characterised by a warm timbre, precise playing and a sophisticated harmonic vision.
