Danielle Nicole (vocals, bass), Brandon Miller (guitar, vocals), Pat Adams (drums) Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Danielle Nicole is one of the essential voices of contemporary blues. She grew up in a deeply musical family, with her father playing blues guitar and her mother singing in the band Little Eva. Together with her siblings, she formed Trampled Under Foot, a trio that achieved recognition in the American Midwest and cemented her passion for music. Danielle launched her solo career with the album Wolf Den (2015), which reached number two on the Billboard Blues charts and racked up millions of plays on digital platforms. Her second album, Cry No More (2018), not only reached number one on the blues charts, but also received a Grammy nomination in the Contemporary Blues category. A singer of enormous expressive intensity, renowned as much for her vocal virtuosity as for her bass technique, Nicole has been honoured with a multitude of awards, including nine Blues Music Awards and induction into the Kansas City Hall of Fame and the Canada South Blues Society Hall of Fame. On stage, she displays a direct connection with the audience, underpinned by authenticity and a way of storytelling that draws from blues and soul and projects it into the present. Danielle Nicole is not only an excellent performer, she is also a storyteller who continues to push the boundaries of the genre, leaving an indelible mark on each performance and reaffirming her place as one of the great figures of blues today.
