HOFE
Igotz Méndez (voice), Jangitz Larrañaga (drums), Llucia Pla (bass). HOFE is the artistic name behind the musical project led by singer Igotz Méndez. His career began in 2018 as part of the Nibbass collective, with which he quickly positioned himself within the Basque underground scene. Since then, he has stood out for his creativity, his ability to move across genres and his capacity to redefine sonic frontiers. HOFE has recorded numerous songs and has collaborated with artists such as Ben Yart, La Elite, BRAVA and Merina Gris. Amodioa (2022) was his first album, released on the Oso Polita label and produced by the duo 4:40 (Xabier Lafuente and Marcos Galech). This work was a milestone in their career, defining their own style that would develop in the following years, fusing electronic pop, hyperpop, trap, punk and the most visceral electronica. The EP Amorrua (2023) deepened this mixture of styles but with a more intense emotional approach, consolidating his own artistic identity. In 2024 he gave more than 35 concerts all over the state, taking his forceful live performance to festivals and various cultural venues. 2025 was dedicated to producing his next album, which will be released in 2026 and from which we have already been able to listen to the single "R.A.", an intense and direct track that leaves us looking forward to his next album. HOFE represents a generation that explores without prejudice and has established itself as one of the most radically unique and promising voices of the present. Songs with brilliant lyrics that often function as a generational outlet and speak of love, partying, sex, rage, identity, drugs... HOFE exercises absolute creative freedom, avoids being pigeonholed, is always in constant evolution and is capable of being at the same time punk and endearing, elegant and playful, furious and tender, irreverent and poetic, reflective and festive, cani and cultured, dark and optimistic, confident and vulnerable...
