Dantza Plazetan 2026: Deustuko Folklore Taldeak

"Dantza Plazetan" is Bilbao City Hall's plan to bring Basque folklore out into the neighbourhood squares all year round: 58 free events with romerías, dance displays and parades of giants. In this one, the Deustuko Folklore Taldeak put on a romería in Plaza San Pedro, in the heart of Deusto. A perfect, no-excuses plan: free, outdoors and fit for grandmas, kids and the plain curious. If you've never seen Basque dance live — with its leaps, handkerchiefs and txistu flute — this is your moment. Getting there: metro to Deusto, then a short walk to the square. Bring your clapping hands (and, if they coax you, a little dancing too).
