Festival du soleil – Fête du solstice

As part of Pierre Bourges Day, and to celebrate the summer solstice, the Société d?Astronomie Populaire de la Côte Basque (Popular Astronomy Society of the Basque Coast) invites the curious to join us in the Parc du Maharin for activities on the theme of the sun: exhibition, observation (in complete safety), discovering the phenomenon of the seasons, and the aurora borealis/australis. Discussions will also be held about the next total solar eclipse, which will take place on August 12, 2026, visible in northern Spain. Discover, understand, marvel and share - that's what this day is all about. Organized by the Société d?Astronomie Populaire de la Côte Basque. Open to all. Workshops lasting 10 to 20 minutes. Ends at 6pm.
