Herds and chiros
Rising to a height of 897 meters, the Baigura massif marks the territory's identity through the practice of pastoralism, i.e. livestock farming practiced on pastures and based on the use of the massif's vegetation. The 3,400-hectare site is classified Natura 2000. It's the reconciliation of economic and ecological issues that makes this mountain so special. We propose a picnic at sunset to discover the cohabitation of farm animals and bats. Bring warm clothing, flashlight or headlamp and hiking boots (we won't be going all the way to the summit).
