Mai du Théâtre – Gaua

"Gaua" is a land of shadows, whispers and buried struggles. In this piece, four performers evoke the figures of those who danced against all odds. Following in the footsteps of Basque women, who have been invisibilized, punished and banned for dancing in the public square, they make today?s bodies resonate. "Gaua" is a vibrant tribute to dances of resistance, sisterhood and the need to move freely.
