La Ribera de Deusto Fiestas 2026 (Bilbao)

La Ribera de Deusto is the salty riverside strip along the estuary, facing the new Zorrotzaurre district, and in late June it throws its own kind of party. The kick-off is textbook: the txupinazo rocket from the square's balcony, the raising of Txitxardin (its rag-doll mascot), the proclamation and a champagne toast. After that: a romería, graffiti workshops, bouncy castles for the kids and a parade of giants with the Ondalan troupe. A small, free, deeply local neighbourhood fiesta — perfect for seeing the real Bilbao far from the Guggenheim. Getting there: by metro (Deusto station) or tram, far better than driving. Almost everything is outdoors.
