Exposition – Couleurs du Pays Basque

André Olasaguirre was born in Guéthary, a village to which he is very attached. He played played grand chistéra for the local club. André Olasaguirre took up painting late in life, and this new passion and this new passion allows him to express his emotions in a personal way. It's only natural that his pictorial theme should be the Basque country, our beautiful region. His paintings, which border on the figurative and the abstract, revisit familiar landscapes. His canvases exude gaiety, vigor, rhythm and gentleness. We call him a colorist.
