Exposition «Espòrts e jòcs occitans» Sports et jeux traditionnels, un patrimoine vivant

Combining tradition and modernity, steeped in the Occitan language and culture that they help keep alive, traditional regional sports are a vital part of our heritage. Pétanque, skittles, Gascon palet, and bull races… these sports are still practiced today for recreation or competition. By tracing the history and current practice of each of these sports, this exhibition invites you to discover the diversity of our region’s sporting cultures and to participate in their development and transmission to future generations. An exhibition designed by CIRDOC—Institut occitan de cultura—featuring photographs provided by the Departmental Committee for Rural Sports 40.
