Exposition «Dunes et forêts, les gardiennes du littoral» – ONF, Cap Sciences, Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine
Wednesday, September 30, 2026 → Oct 29, 2026
Anglet, Lapurdi
Maison de l’Environnement 297 avenue de l'Adour 64600 ANGLET
An exhibition on the importance of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine coastal forest, a symbol of our interdependence. As the last line of defense against the ocean’s onslaught, coastal forests help maintain the coastline. The unique diversity of these habitats and species in Nouvelle-Aquitaine makes them an exceptional natural heritage. This summer’s forest fires remind us of its vulnerability to the effects of climate change: more frequent storms, droughts, pests... Forest management is at the core of the National Forest Service’s mission and must be “multifunctional,” balancing timber production, public access, the preservation of biodiversity, and protection against natural hazards. We can all play a role in preserving our region’s natural, cultural, and scenic heritage. Open to the general public, ages 7 and up.
